Strategic Encounter Update

As promised in my last post, I said I would try out how spending ingots on this event affects my ranking stats, and here’s what I’ve found.

  1. Overall, spending ingots on the event does help you out in the long run. BUT, the floor you spend those extra chances on matters too. The more you can spend on the 3rd floor, the better. 😏
  2. The floors resetting each day and the statistics involved in getting the right Go players to defeat in order to advance to the next floor are a tricky element in this event. As an example, on day four this last round, I was only able to advance to the 3rd ONCE. I was never given the Aristocrat guy to defeat twice. So even though I spent my extra chances as wisely as I could, because they were mostly spent on the second floor, I think that hurt my overall individual rank score.
  3. Team member logon may be more important than skill level. I say that because this is the first round where I had the most Go records on my team by a landslide. In fact, I don’t think one of my team members ever made it to level 3 the entire event. 😅 Certainly something to consider next time around.
  4. Branching out to new horizons. I’m going to see if I can join a team outside of my local/cs server this next round. I know the team rank rewards aren’t as “special” as the individual, but it would be nice to adventure a little bit and try something new. 😉 See if some other players are a bit more active like myself.

Anyway, those are my updates there. And my journey continues to have 2B in wisdom. 😏 Maybe after that, I try going for some CS title. Until next time!
