Okay, so I think the main reason I wanted to chat about this new recurring event was because I’ve been watching “Deep in the Realm of Conscience” and Princess Taiping is a one of the main protagonists in the drama series. 😅 But also because I find her character really obnoxious and annoying, and as such, I’m not really jazzed about adding her to my partner stack (not that that will be anytime soon. 100 tokens for recruitment? 🙃)
Anyway, I’m on a pretty evenly matched team. All my teammates are in the 1B Go Skill range and we’ve been holding in the top twenty for teams pretty well. But we’ll probably finish outside the top 20 range.
Right out the gate though, there are a few things that have stood out to me when it comes to strategizing for this event.
First, having a 1.3B Go Skill will at least help you take out most, if not all the random assigned characters on the third floor. This is where I’ve found my team to be most helpful given the mechanics of the event for me. If you have two players that are on the third floor at the same time you can assist your teammates in knocking out opponents. EXCEPT when you are defeated by an actual player… 😩
Second, timing plays a HUGE role in this event. And I’m not just talking about making sure you sign on at least twice during that 12 hour window when play is open. I mean more watching who is actively playing on the third floor. 😏 You’ll know thanks to the system messages. So all that to say, I’ve found it useful to both watch to see if you are online at the same time as at least one other teammate AND which stronger players are currently on the prowl. Why does this matter? Well, if like me you’ve been knocked off the third floor before you got a single search in, then you know why already. 🤪 So yes, if you want a chance to accumulate more points, pay attention to which players are currently on the third floor.
And finally, while I’m VERY disappointed with the action point ratio to ingots your given in this event, I have purchased the 188 pack everyday for the measly 10 extra action points. 🙄 It’s been more for timing purposes, not because I’m trying to get more overall points. As an example, I’m online at the same time as another team member, I’ve just made it to the third floor, but only have enough action points for one hit, whereas if I buy the pack I can get 3 additional hits in (also assuming I’m not defeated before I hit the search button. 😅)
If anything, it gives all us active players another type of strategy to consider. That being the making “Wisdom” your strongest power attribute. We already know it will improve your EXP income, but this event to highlight those who have chosen that path already is kind of neat. But who knows, the devs might make more quarterly events like this that highlight the other attributes too. 🤷🏻♀️ It reminds me of our Cabinet Scholar really. You either make your scholar one of your top partners or not and that will determine how well you fare in the Literary Scholar event.
I’ve been trying to boost my “Wisdom” attribute lately anyway, so perhaps we’ll see where I’m sitting the next time this event rolls around. Maybe I’ll have enough to take out this guy
