New Year, New Tips

Happy Lunar New Year everyone! 🧧

Aside from sharing my new year activities and feast with y’all, I have some new strategies and such that I will be experimenting with this year and perhaps a couple tips I’ve come across playing LOP here as of late. So here we go.

1. Land
   
   To date, I’ve gone about using those building blueprints to level up individual products in order to get bigger warehouse yeilds. It’s worked well for me, especially when going for Dominant and Favored since I just let the points accumulate somewhat indefinitely. (I almost forget about them... 😅) However, after observing some of the other players and there position in the ranks relative to mine, I’ve decided that this year I’m going to work on leveling up each production area until they reach the highest level. I’m sort of interested to see how having more overall prosperity level affects product yield vs the isolated upgrading of a specific product. I’ll report back with my findings after I’ve given it a thorough test.
   
   Another thing I will be doing is saving up silver bars to buy all the land decorations I don’t own. I kind of want to have one of each decoration, before venturing into the multiple/leveling up area. Plus, while there are some neat decor items they’ve released in the special events here recently, I’m haven’t been motivated to purchase them for my land. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe I’ll change my perspective on that this year. 😵‍💫Spend event points on land decor, not partner skins. 😂 That could be an interesting experiment to run though, now that I mentioned it. 🤔 This whole area of the game really is something I’m going to do more work in this year, that’s for sure.
   
2. CS Rank Events
   
   So now that I’ve finally claimed Dominant on the local server I feel a little more chill now with my overall LOP strategizing and game play. That said, I think this year I’m kind of going to see what happens if I just do bare minimum involvement. I’ll hoard through the local server Dom, Favored and Debate to dump during the CS ones, more out of habit than anything else. But not really doing more extensive hoarding with the intent of trying to get a title. The others I’m just going to wing it and only do silver betting. If it takes me forever to collect and complete outfits/upgrades, so be it. 😂
   
3. Confidants
   
   This will be the year that I finally get Yin Zhen up to level 10. 😅 I’ve been distracted trying to level up my other confidants that I haven’t dedicated all my resources to that cause lately. I’m sooo close though. However, once that’s done, I’ll be focusing on my beautiful set of combos i.e. Lanling, Shagguan, Lu Yu and Mozi. 😍 (but I think mostly Mozi 😅) And then we’ll focus on my other favorites like Fu Heng, Murong, 14th Prince and those VIP peeps. Everyone else... Well they just get attention on their bdays. 😂
   
   I’m also hoping to pick up Bai Qi this year. Those bond point bonuses will be a nice perk to go along with the Female Generals.
   
   Oh and let’s not forget those confidant outfits! I’m hoping to get Murong’s, Shagguan’s and Consort Xian’s from the shop. Maybe they’ll add something worth getting for Yin Zhen... 😒
   
4. Partners
   
   Evening out. The theme of 2023. I feel like I have more freedom to do even building with my stack now. And I think a lot of that will be based on confidants and related partner bonds. Which basically equates to me always having some partners with red robes, because I just don’t care about certain confidants and let’s be real, I don’t want my whole stack being gold when I’ve got grandchief promotions to save up for.
   
   Which is another goal of mine for the year, after I promote my final reds to gold robes. The question though is who will the lucky partner be? Maybe partners? Not sure yet. I’m still trying to to figure out if I want a top 12 in archchief status or not. We’ll see.
   
   What I’m looking forward to the most is seeing what kind of momentum build I’ll get trying to focus on collecting items that build my partners actual strength, instead of fluff to my overall power. Not saying I won’t buy an outfit, title, or other such power boosts. I just want to see how much I can make myself a force to be reckoned with.
   
   Which reminds me of something else I haven’t heard much about yet, but have noticed the item being available with some frequency here lately. Rare books! Those blue ones with the flower pattern on the front. I’m really interested in delving into what this partner cultivation does for your partners. But I’m not sure who I want to spend them on. 😩 More on that later this year.
   
5. F2P for 2023?!😱
   
   Sort of, with a minor exception for Pisces. 😅 I kind of want my horoscope sign, regardless of what it looks like. Outside of that, I’m kind of curious to see how many ingots I can accumulate between specials events I actually want to spend my ingots on. Or just other in game stuff I want to spend ingots on in general. Like academy seats, debate help slots, confidant outfits (when I get enough of those silly gold brocades), etc. It’ll be fun to see where I’m at the end of the year.

I think that covers all the planning I have in mind for this year in LOP.

For Lunar New Year Eve we had fun making a multi course feast to celebrate the occasion.

And I’m quite looking forward to making and trying more dishes this year too. 🤤
