I thought I would share some of the tricks I’ve used to become a VIP7 without really throwing money at the game.
When I initially started playing, I started off with a dollar after a couple days of game play, because I was like “What on earth does this do?” Not much, but didn’t feel bad for spending the dollar to find out. 😂 But after a couple weeks of continued game play, and looking at the recharge options more closely I eventually picked up the lifetime pass and a monthly pass at the same time. I mean I am an accountant, so why would I not choose the ongoing income option? 😅 It seemed like a good exchange, getting all the benefits of being VIP3 and what not, having no clue how long I was going to continue playing. And I was certain that was it. Never going to put another dime into LOP... 😂🤣
So several months later, I find myself still actively playing the game, put in another dollar to give me an extra boost for my first QOB attempt, and then I had a moment. Since I like this game so much, why not utilize all the “free money” I have about and recharge when I want to?
So yes, in addition to recharging at specific times, like which wheel events I want to take advantage of, I also use the following to get extra funds for the game:
- High yield savings account
So I’ve had one of these for a while, and have used it as an allowance for myself. Over the years, I’ve sent all my birthday money, distribution checks and/or a small percentage of paychecks into the account and saved up until I had enough to buy something I’ve had my eyes on for a while. And as of late, what I’ve wanted to spend my allowance is LOP. 😅 All of that to say, whether it’s for LOP or not, you may like this idea as a smart way to spend your money in general. - Shopkicks
I like this app for many reasons, but mostly for the gift card rewards. And since I’m a stay-at-home mom, frequent several of the stores they support and need to get my two boys out of the house 😅, we often go on “scanning” trips. Gives all of us something to do and I’ve actually discovered several new products that have become new favorites of mine. The point bonuses are often the incentive for me trying them out, but I’ve never been disappointed with my purchases to date. - Credit card points
Similar to Shopkicks, I just wait until we have enough points to exchange for a decent denomination of Apple gift card. 😅 - Google Rewards
This I downloaded on recommendation from another LOP player. I don’t get surveys very often, probably because of where I live, and since I don’t use Google Play for LOP I have to funnel the payouts through PayPal and then into my savings account to access the funds. It’s a little tedious, I know. But for me, any amount of free money is great! - And finally, the Apple gift cards I’ve received as gifts/prizes
