And here we are again! Another Lunar New Year/Spring Festival celebration in LOP.
The UI is a little hard to decipher at first, but you get the hang of it fairly quick.
A couple things to note at first:
1) There are more paywalls
2) The paywalls are tiered and priced aggressively
Not that I was planning on topping up, but point two was kind of tempting, and I gave in. 🙃
I am sad though that the partner who I was able to get most of the jades for last year is officially locked behind a paywall. 😩
This does NOT bode well for any of the other haphazardly collected tokens/brocades in 2025. 😭 I will be honest though, since a lot of these new partners are bonded to VIP confidents, it kind of makes sense that they’re paywalled. Emphasis on kind of. I mean partners are partners and power is power, so getting that additional confidant bond power is arguably negligible. Maybe. (I mean I’ve certainly seen the payoffs of confidant bonds, so I can attest to their importance.) However, I’m only commenting on this because I had hopes that I might be able to make good on those tokens I collected last year. 🙂↔️🙃 Oh well. Good to know though for 2025 LOP gaming.

I REALLY like these mini games much more than the street fair one from the last two years. I mean that might still be back in part 2, but the two that are here for part 1 are far less intimidating. 😉
This one in particular has been quite fun for me, and fairly easy to get max points on, even if you do make a couple mistakes. The trick is remembering which row each dish is on. I’m also a huge fan of the click radius on this game too! ‘Cause you can literally tap the corner of the dish as it’s scrolling off the screen and it counts! 🥳🥳🥳
And that is just ‘cause I’m silly. 🤪
I’m also heading up my own team this year for New Year’s Journey. Dropped 51.5k sachets and I’m in second place among my team members . 🤣 CS debate lining up with the Journey has been great too! All the more reason to use up party invitations, challenge letters and pursuit tokens. Every debate counts! 😏 And keeps me on the top 10 for CS.
And fortunately with the timing of quick ranks for the duration of this New Years event, it works out for dropping the three different types of pills. I’ll drop some of my stamina pills during Banquet to get some rewards for intimacy increases. Vitality, the remainder of my energy pills and some of my books will be during Dominant for their respective rewards as well. So if you haven’t dropped any of your inventory, be smart and plan accordingly. 😉
Almost forgot this game! Pretty straight forward. Don’t get Orange Meow and avoid the ruyis if possible too. If you manage those two things it should only take 3 rounds to get all the coins you need for the day.
Not sure what I’m going to get from the point shops in either part or if I will top up again. (Yes, I got the panda fur baby… 🙈🙈🙈)

All to say that I love majong! Could play it all day, everyday. (I actually did play majong on the computer ALOT when I was in jr. high. 😅 Love and miss that game.) But “Tile Tower”… 😩 Wow. Really simple game concept, but my execution sucks. 😆 I think the highest tower I’ve done is 9 high, or 150 points. 8 high is my average. The strategy is simple and straightforward, start with the biggest and work your way down to the smallest. The trick is letting go of your hold at the right moment so your next block is smaller than the last one, but not too much smaller or you won’t be able to complete a 15 tile high tower. 😰

And as you can see, I’m not the only one struggling to get 160 points. 🙃
Anyway, not sure where I’m spending my ingots on this part. I already 10x my Tile Tower from last night, but I may spend it on “Lucky Tile” to get another red silk of fate. Oh right, I think I forgot to mention that in my post from last month. I really love that I don’t have to spend ingots everyday on the paywalled items anymore. It's so nice to just have an event cap per level and I can figure how and when I want to spend them. So if I want spend 198 ingots x 7 on the final day of the event, I can! 🤪 Procastination for the win! 🏆
But with any luck I’ll have some ingots left over for Lantern Festival. 😏 (‘Cause every year I barely have enough ingots left over for it. Which is also the same problem with the Anniversary event too… Devs dropping Lu Yu’s event a day after Anniversary 🤑, and me. 😒)
