Grandiose Ceremony Strategy Revisited and Other Updates

We’re currently in the middle of the second CS confidant attribute contest, aka the The Grandiose Ceremony. And as promised I’ve tested out a couple different confidant pairings to see which is the best approach for me.

Now I’m sure these results will vary between server groupings and how you’ve personally chosen to distribute confidant attribute points, but here is what I’ve found being on a somewhat older server and primarily gifting to one single confidant.

To start off, I kind of did a hodgepodge arrangement of my confidants to see how well my more powerful ones did in the bottom ceremonies. Yin Zhen was obviously in the top, supported by my weakest of the top bunch Murong. I put Lanling and Consort Xian in the bottom ceremonies. And then Fu Heng was supported by Shangguan, and Lu Yu by 14th Prince. I was really looking forward to how this mash up would do in the competition. But found myself floundering after a couple rounds. 😓

So, I immediately changed it up again. This time just stacking them from strongest to weakest. I think I let that run the whole day, finished in the top 20, and was still kind of surprised by that. On day two I decided to revert back to my strategy from the last time.

Now I finished yet again in the top 20, but I feel more confident with this mash up than I did the other. I’m going to monitor the matches throughout the day and see if switching it up again can keep me in the top 27 this time. 😅

More on that later, I guess.

Update: I did manage to make it into the top 27! 🎉 But I once again rearranged my confidant pairings. Since I sucked in the other four ceremonies, I decided to suck less by putting pairing all my stronger confidants together. I was pleased with my results. 😊

Moving along, I was really excited to get my new confidant last week!

Not that I’m ready to boost up my Dukes yet, but I’m excited to finally have her in the mix now. 😉

The Pear Garden event was fun. Loved the mini game, and the collection dress this time! But unfortunately I was not able to get it. 😩 Not that I need it, I’ve got plenty of clothes in my LOP closet. 😂 The mask painting activity was pretty easy, save for the monkey mask... That took me a lot longer cause I can’t read. 😆

I also had some thoughts about the Literary Gathering and how to fine tune my strategy on that for the next round. Most of it seems to be based on chance, as you never know who you’re going to go up against. But I was shocked by how

well I did against players stronger than I at face value. All of that to say, I’m convinced it pays off have a super strong Cabinet Scholar, if you’re serious about doing well in the Literary Gathering event.

Last Update: I got Timeless Beauty for the first time too! 🥳 Now I just have to get Dom. 😂
