So as promised a last month, here is my unboxing of the TKDB merch I purchased from Didara Bocchi.
So to kick it off, I would just like to comment on how nicely they assemble their packages in the box! (Side note, I didn’t do an unboxing post back when I got my Ballad of Songbirds and Snake box for this very reason. 😅 I was disappointed that given the price I paid for the box and the merch inside, it looked like it was literally just thrown into the box. I mean even some of the packaging was ripped and broken… 😞 Moving along!)
Anyway, I finally have my hat! 😎 The item that started this whole exploration 4 months ago.
See? It’s packed nicely, isn’t it? I also thought it was neat that the socks I purchased game with an additional decorated drawstring bag! I love having extras of those around! And the Sho etching on the shirt bag is super cool too.
So here’s what I bought, in order to get the following gifts. drums roll please
So for the acrylic stand gifts I received Ed and Ritsu. (I love that I got Ed. 🤣 He’s become a mascot for a couple of my guilds, despite his dirty old man vibes.)
Two packs of cards and the cards within.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting to get a signed character at all (the trading card equivalent of the games SSRs) so I was thoroughly surprised I got Romeo and Yuri. Yuri’s card isn’t as “rare” as Romeo’s, but still fun to have two signature cards. I also have the back of Luca’s head in two of them AND opening cut scene Rui!! 😘
And finally, the moment we all been waiting for: bag tags!!
Yes, I got LUCA!!!! 🤩
And Haku!! Two of my top three ghouls in one package! Soooooo excited!!! (Romeo and Ritsu are great too, as I would’ve been happy with whatever ghouls I got. You know, just like cosdols in the game. 😅 Does anyone really not take a picture of them even if it’s a ghoul you hate?)
Conclusion: Is the merch a bit overpriced? 🤷🏻♀️ Maybe.
Am I happy with my purchase? You bet I am! That hat and the Luca bag tag totally made it worth it for me, and I couldn’t be more pleased.
On that note though, I would also like to point out that the quality of the shirt and socks are excellent too! You can feel how well they are made just from handling them, which is something to consider if you’re trying to get over the sticker shock. 😅
With that, I’m going to keep my eye out in the future for other products Didara Bocchi produces for TKDB and who knows? Maybe I’ll purchase some more merch in the future. 😉
