Claiming Dominant and Mozi

I’m very happy to announce that I FINALLY claimed the Dominant title Sunday night! 🤩🥳🥂(4th time’s the charm. 😅)

(I’ll explain my outfit below.)

As a note, I had been hoarding for Dom for about two cycles. I did not place in the top 100 for CS last cycle, missing out on one of those Linglong Jades, but at this point in the game, I just really wanted Dom. (And to be real, there’s no point in me a VIP7 competing with VIP10+ for CS. As patient as I am, I just don’t have time for that!😆) I had seriously considered hoarding until February CS, but as I’ve mentioned before in previous posts, I saw a window of opportunity last week and went for it. I knew I was sitting on enough of a power boost to surpass first place that was holding at 83M for a couple days. What I wasn’t sure about was my server’s VIP11 was going to do, whose “holding back” yields a 100M boost. 😅 But this player also recently claimed all the CS titles, so I was fairly certain they would not chase after me if I overtook them. For good measure, I gave myself a 100M lead, and checked frequently throughout Sunday to see if I was correct, and I was!

My favorite part of this whole thing was that I barely touched my potential fruit hoard, so now I’m all set for CS in a few weeks! 😂 So yes, my 220M power increase basically consisted of dropping books, growth packs, knowledge packs and all the food I cooked in the kitchen for my partners. (All of which I gave to my new partner Mozi.) And then getting rid of all the red dots around the games ecosystem (growth points, warehouse, land furnishings, comprehension points, confidant friendship level promotions, scholar prestige upgrades, partner promotions, etc.) Oh and at the very end activating Mozi’s regalia card! 😅

Let’s move on to those details, shall we?

First off, is just me, since I LOVE the Legend of Zelda game series, or does any one else think Mozi looks like Link from Breath of the Wild? 😅

Well, I see a resemblance, hence another Zelda inspired outfit (shown here and above.)

So in the spirit of keeping with the BOTW theme, I decided to run a little experiment. What would it look like if I took a confidant/partner from zero to near top status? I had two sets archchief robes, that I was originally planning to use on two other partners, but with Dominant being within my grasp, I knew using it in Mozi and another Confidant/partner would help ensure that I reach my goal.

A pretty decent one. 😅 Yeah, he’s my new favorite, and yes, it’s purely because he reminds me of Link. 🤣

Actually this whole Mohist event reminds me of BOTW. 🤔 Between the colors used and the mechanical, wood work stuff... I don’t know it just sort of screams BOTW at me. Anyway, I’m glad they brought back the maze game from earlier this year in that Wei Yingluo’s outfit event. (The one I sat out on because of CNY. 😏) I haven’t done too poorly. Proof shown here:

But I did notice something. I think taking a more direct route toward the puzzle cubes is the more efficient way to go, instead of trying to scoot around the edges to avoid obstacles. 🤔 I’ll have to remember that the next time this mini game comes around. Be direct, not cautious.

And if I hadn’t made a poor attempt at QOB right before the event dropped, I may have been able to get Mozi and the new pigeon without the top up. However, this is the first event in months I’ve actually wanted to top up for, so I exchanged some points for a gift card. 😅 Working smarter not harder. 😉 But since I grabbed him and had the ingots on hand, I also grabbed the regalia card and the entire outfit, because I’m a completionist at heart. 😆

And now that I have Mozi, I can actually say I like his dialogue with the MC. I’ve literally only made an effort to read Yin Zhen’s, Lu Yu’s, and now his. Oh wait and 14th Prince! I, uh, forgot about him... And his love of food. 😅 (Side note, I don’t mind Fu Heng, I just prefer his main story interactions to the dates and other story lines. 😏)
